macbook pro 13-inch

I have been keeping an eye on this macbook pro 13’’ ever since it came out. If you too wanna take a look at it, there is no need to go to the apple store. Someone already took massive pictures and wrote a pretty good review on it. Things to notice is the new kind of battery, and the downgraded SATA connector speed. Everything else looks pretty awesome! Problems are solved by sleeping

haha, I knew it! For those of you trading sleep for a little more time to work on your stuff, read on! Sleep does help! Problems are solved by sleeping http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/8090730.stm The findings suggest it is not merely sleep itself, or the passage of time, that is important for the problem solving, but the quality of sleep. Personally, I feel really refreshed after taking a nap for merely 15 mins. The trick is that you have to be completely relaxed inside and out, don’t pretend. If your mind can be completely relaxed, your body will follow and hopefully you will still be able to hear your alarm when it goes off… ...

President Obama Addresses Muslim World

This is a major step Obama took to bridge the gap between US and the Muslim world. I really enjoyed listening to this hour long speech, which addresses where America stands in light of many things happening inside and outside of America. Below the video is the transcript from WPO: [youtube &hl=en&fs=1&] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BlqLwCKkeY ...

Are we in control of our decisions?

Do you believe that you often make the best decisions? I think deep down inside we believe that, or at least we have no reasons to believe otherwise. Dan Ariely challenges this belief and argues that we are often misled to think that we are the one who makes the best choice. It’s not all talk because he has many examples to show us. Don’t miss out on this one. This is a 17 min video from TED. ...

Is more expensive gas better?

As gas price is going up again, I often wonder if the name brand gas I am paying for is justified. Does a less-known gas station sell “dirty gas” or “bad gas”? If you have the same question, you may be interested to read this article 10 Things Gas Stations Won’t Tell You. Suppliers share pipelines, so they all use the same fuel. And the difference between the most expensive brand-name gas and the lowliest gallon of no-brand fuel? Often just a quart of detergent added to an 8,000-gallon tanker truck. ...

Napster $5 per month

Most of you know already that Napster rolled out this $5 per month plan a week ago. I have been pretty skeptical about it for a while until I have done some research on it today. So far I believe this is the best deal you can find today… unless you do p2p. Yeah, unlimited streaming of particular songs, this surely beats pandora or the like. $5 to download 5 mp3 songs? That’s the market price. I don’t see any ripoff here. I then proceeded to sign up and found out that I have been a member with them since my college days… haha, those were the good old days. I had trouble using the online music player, but after installing the windows executable it worked perfectly fine. Man, music keeps me awake at home and at work, much better than coffee! Give it a try! ...
