chicken quesadila Today, just like another usual day, I walked to the cafeteria having all the good intentions to pick the healthy good food, but found myself ended up at the grill as usual. Just heard from TED about Suspended Animation, very interesting stuff. Animation here refers to the movement of any live creatures. An example of suspended animation is say, a plant seed, or a spore, or a polar bear in hibernation. When living creatures are in such a state, their metabolism is slowed down many times, thus prolonging their lifespan or in practicality buying more time before an important medical treatment. Sometimes I wanna type something in canto, but you know that’s actually easier said than done. For some of the canto words we say everyday, if you ask me to write them down I would have a hard time doing so. Today I was doing some searches for such a canto database or conversion tool, I found this website: http://www.cantonese.sheik.co.uk/scripts/wordsearch.php. The results are quite impressive. All of a sudden I am craving for some Chinese songs. I am so glad RTHK has their radio channels broadcast online. Here is their link: http://www.rthk.org.hk/index_eng.htm. I always have a clock at my office so I can easily see the time. Not sure about you guys, but I don’t like to squeeze my eyes to read from my windows taskbar. Everything is good until some time last week the battery ran out. The “second” hand failed to go against the gravity struggling to go up at the “9” position. Poor me I have been consistently forgetting to bring in a new battery, I guess getting into the office on time already consumes everything I get in the morning. ^^; ...

This is often a frustrating experience to many new osx users, especially those who have used windows for many years. Often times I am ok with what the green zoom button does, coz it actually does make the current window bigger but just not maximized… Like most people, I settled with moving the window to the top left corner, then dragging the bottom right corner… Today, while trying to look at a map in preview, for some reasons I just thought that there got to be something that can maximize an osx window right. There got to be! How many years has Apple been in business! There got to be! ...

Just got an unknown call from this number: (646)-873-6493. It just rang once, then ended. It’s a New York area code, but I don’t recognize the number. Further googling suggests that this is a telemarketing phone number trying to collect active phone numbers. I already filed a complaint at http://www.numberinvestigator.com/. Not sure if that’s useful but at least I have done my part.
