Not as bad?

I just read this article: Today’s Bear Market Now Not As Bad As The Great Crash! Here is their graph: From businessinsider.com Looking at our current blue line, I think we are getting really close to the Great Depression line. Wait, hold on… I think we overlapped !!! And we overlapped because we just had a March rally! Be warned… A historical big crash is coming, something to the magnitude of the Great Depression if not worse. ...

Why/How is AIG using the taxpayers' money?

I found this lecture video explaining quite well why and how AIG is using the taxpayers’ money for this whole financial mess. Before watching this, you should watch this past post Crisis of Credit Visualized first to understand the bigger picture. http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=3841214&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1 After watching this video, you should know why the taxpayers have been so upset at AIG. If you want to dig deeper into these financial background details, you can check out these Whiteboard videos yourself. ...

Saving vs Spending

I read this interesting article, suggesting that spending is as important as saving. You have heard of buyer’s remorse, but holding back too much will lead to regrets years later as well. Here is the article: If You Save Too Much — You Might Regret It Later! http://consumerist.com/5182167/if-you-save-too-much–you-might-regret-it-later Well, I will give you one more reason to spend at recession like ours right now. You know one way the US is handling the foreign debt is to simply print more dollar bills? How much are they printing? Hold your breath, and watch this fox news clip. ...

Pwn2Own 2009: Safari/MacBook falls in seconds

In case you missed this, in a security conference called Pwn2Own 2009, Safari/MacBook falls in seconds. Here is the link: http://blogs.zdnet.com/security/?p=2917 According to Miller the winner, “It took a couple of seconds. They clicked on the link and I took control of the machine.” He describes Safari as “easy pickin’s”. I think at least for a while people should not flippantly say that macs are more secure than windows. But just to be fair, windows’ IE 8 also got broken into a little while afterward by another hacker. ...

Server Lock Example

If you want to use custom message on your iphone screen with Server Lock Example, here is how you do it. (My phone is 3G, firmware 2.2.1) First download a Terminal app, then download vim (or any text editor). Assuming you have Winterboard and have Server Lock Example turned on, we are now ready to go! boyfriend -> father -> friend !?

You must be kidding me! I was shocked when I read this article this morning. Johnston says he and Bristol broke up after ‘fight’ http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/03/16/johnston-says-he-and-bristol-broke-up-after-fight/ I thought they were pretty committed??? I once criticized about their coming together. [ post] And now, after a fight, they decided to break up? Quote: “We were just, we were in a fight,” he said. “And trying to see if we can make things work. But this is what it kind of ended up turning into. But we’ll see what happens. ...
