A call to men

“My liberation as a man is tied to your liberation as a woman.”

Tony Porter argues that we all are trying too hard to conform ourselves to the social stereotypes of men and of women, to the point where lives are twisted. For example, men are too afraid to show their emotion, and that they try to become dominant. Besides these, he gave a lot more examples in his talk.

So long as we allow these stereotypes to rule over us, we will never be free. Even worse, some of the social problems are actually from these stereotypes. This social issue is nothing new, but it’s very interesting to hear this being delivered by a big man like Tony Porter.
